No previous horse experience necessary

The workshops
We provide accessible equine assisted services that empower people to develop their ability to experience and embody authentic communication. Our aim is to help individuals develop the skills to communicate effectively and increase their emotional wellbeing and resilience.
We are particularly interested in supporting individuals that identify as male because evidence tells us that they are less likely to be encouraged to access support for their mental wellbeing. We strive to provide inclusive environments for all, with a range of LGBTQ+, race, religion, age and sex in our team. All gender identities are encouraged to apply.
We want to support these people to feel they can be safe to be authentically themselves. Our focus is supporting individuals from all walks of life with subsidised places available on our workshop for those on low incomes or who are unemployed.

Who are we?
Silence Is Golden Team
Within our team we have a wide range of experience of facilitation, human behaviour change and counselling. We are professional, courageous and diverse. This workshop forms part of the final assessment for our Crossfields Institute Level 6 Diploma in the IFEEL Method of Equine Facilitated Psychotraumatology. Highly professional faculty and staff will also be onsite during the workshop both for any additional support and assessing our team.
IFEEL Method Qualifications Ltd
IFEEL Method Qualifications Ltd. provide clinical level training in Equine Pscyhotraumatology and offer the highest standards in Human Equine Interventions (HEI) and practices. The approach is an evidenced based, systematic methodology which consistently and sustainably evaluates the mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of all horses, clients and practitioners. Their training is validated through continuous Internal and External Quality Assurance (EQA) checks and they are the only UK HEIR (Human Equine Interaction Register) organisation that are registered with Horses in Education and Therapy (HETI) , National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP) and are Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) under OFQUAL.
The Horses
Horses are deeply connected to their environment. Their ability to show us who we really are as physical and emotional beings has the power to transform our understanding of relationship to ourselves, others and the world. Our approach is trauma informed ensuring a professional and compassionate learning experience for participants.
We are advocates of relational horse care which places welfare of the horse at the centre of our approach. We operate under HEIR and NEWC welfare regulations, aiming to provide the highest equine species appropriate environment. This not only includes day to day welfare such as the horses living together as a herd with access to 24/7 movement and grazing, but also viewing the horses as co facilitators when working with clients. By utilising an equine centred approach, the horses are able to model authenticity, which then promotes rich, embodied change work for the clients to do the same.
Fundraising
We are providing funded spaces for our workshops. If you are interested in contributing to allow low income or unemployed individuals the opportunity to attend, please click on our GoFundMe page below and donate.
